The 2025 line-up features a mix of talented blues and jazz artists who will set the perfect tone for a sun-soaked day at the bay.

ROBERT GLEN
Performing as a singer guitarist in and around Wanaka and Queenstown, as well as traveling all over the south island for over 10 years, he is a passionate and energetic acoustic singer.
Despite being able to play across all genres and styles, sophisticated Blues is Robert's passion. Inspired by Stevie Ray Vaughan, BB King, Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton and many more of the great blues Icons.
Robert has been honoured to share the stage with some of New Zealand's best including:

Playing together for more than ten years mixing a heady cocktail of powerhouse vocals, baritone sax, titillating trumpet, triumphant trombone, pounding rhythm section, captivating keys and electrifying guitar, this flock of rockers promises to get your dancing shoes on and then blow your socks off!
We welcome this three piece family blues band called ‘MudCake’, local here in Riverton
Morgan Bickley (dad) – Liam Bickley 12 and Harlan Bickley 11. Morgan plays bass and the boys play guitar, drums and sing and Harlan on the Saxophone. They have their own songs and take turns being front man. The set list has a mixture of songs from old school and modern day blues legends like Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jeff Healey, Robert Cray, Gary Moore and Kenny Wayne Shepherd to name some. They have played at the blues jams held at the Invercargill Musos Club and family/private events for stage time; we are excited for them to debut at the Riverton Jazz and Blues Festival.
We cannot wait to see this very talented family play!
LACHIE HAYES (Tokanui)
From the deepest of the deep south, where the winds sculpt both landscape and character, emerges Lachie Hayes, a musician redefining the alt-country genre.
Blues based alternative hip hop with the harmonica, looping and rapping.
OLLIE MCLEAN (Dunedin)

Emerging from New Zealand's deep south, The Diagonals play music from the golden age of Jazz and Blues.
Ranging from the syncopated rhythms of early Jazz to the emotional power of the Blues and Ballads,
MC for the afternoon: Wal from The Hits
Craig Waddell, also known as Wal from The Hits, will be the MC for Blues and Jazz by the Sea in 2025. We are excited to have this born and bred Southlander taking the stage from 12 pm to 6:30 pm.
